Description:

This zip file contains sef_ext.php files that are compatible ONLY with Remosef for Joomla. There is one for each of the core components content, contact, newsfeed and RSS (syndication).

Please note that like Remosef for Joomla this is beta software at present. Also, please note that using this level of SEF can have drawbacks. Automatic redirection is provided between non-SEF and SEF URLs. But Remosef cannot deal with redirection if you make changes to the titles of e.g. sections or categories. Since the titles are used to construct "friendly" URLs any changes will alter the URL and render old URLs invalid. Your system will run most smoothly if you are able to keep titles unchanged. Otherwise, consider manually placing redirects into your .htaccess file for any changed URLs.

The sef_ext.php files are manually installed into the respective component directories. For example, the sef_ext.php for content should be placed in the /components/com_content/ directory. You can do this by unzipping the package and putting the files in place manually. Or you can place the whole zip file in /components/ and expand it there.
