Building components requires a mixture of general programming knowledge - using PHP and MySQL - and an understanding of the environment provided by Mambo. In addition, it is helpful to know something about the whole business of web hosting. HTML and CSS also come into it.
This forum is here to allow anyone trying to develop a component to discuss these issues and problems encountered along the way.
