Showing Category in Newest & Top Downloads Module - 2007/01/17 18:56 Hi there,

I currently have installed the Newest and Top Downloads modules for Remository.

I would like to alter these to get them to show the Category the downloads belong into it. Its to allow people to easy see what the download relates to as oppose to clicking on the link to find out, etc.

Is there a function I could call to easily show the category the download belongs to for these modules?

If so, I've tried this, and doesn't show the categories for me, just the download descriptions.

Re:Showing Category in Newest & Top Downloads Modu - 2007/01/22 15:30 Oh dear, seems to be a bug in line 54 of /modules/mod_remositorymulti/remositorymulti.class.php.

Suggest you comment it out by putting // at the start of the line. You also need to check the parameter for showing container is set to yes. Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint

I will have to spend time tweaking it as the output is not shown in a table. Any chance of this appearing in a table format like the Newest/Top Downloads modules?

Re:Showing Category in Newest & Top Downloads - 2007/02/02 18:01 Better to write some CSS to organise what is displayed. The XHTML follows modern semantic markup principles. Unfortunately, although a component can insert extra CSS into the page header, a module does not have that ability in current Mambo/Joomla. But you could certainly modify the CSS for your own template. (It's no good me modifying the Remository CSS, as it will not get to the browser on pages that are not running the Remository component.)
