Module request: Alphabet in Module - 2007/01/10 16:24 Hey there,

I would be greatful for the development of a module, which would show the "alphabet", and by pressing the link it would jump to the according section of the glossary-component.

My dream would be a module which would show said "alphabet" and would show the entries of the selected letter in the module itself. If you select an entry from the list you would get to the article.

I don't know how difficult this would be, but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading.

Re:Module request: Alphabet in Module - 2008/12/29 15:18 I was just looking to see if this sort of functionality would be available except I'd like it to be slightly different. I use the latest glossary module to display terms on the front page of the website.

It would be awesome if instead of showing the latest items from newest to oldest, it could show them alphabetically.

This would be great for bring the items to other pages of the site.

Thanks!

Re:Module request: Alphabet in Module - 2008/12/29 15:49 First off, I'm not a programmer but I was able to make a modification to the latest glossary terms module to make them sort alphabetically but they are in reverse order (Z-A).

I change line 39 of mod_latestglossary.php from this:

. "n ORDER BY a.id DESC"

to this:

. "n ORDER BY a.tterm DESC"

Does anyone know how I can make them sort from A-Z?

Thanks!

Re:Module request: Alphabet in Module - 2008/12/30 16:36 Either simply remove DESC (which is short for descending) or replace it with ASC (for ascending). Martin Brampton aka Counterpoint
