Re:Any searchbot work on Remository 3.45 - 2008/11/25 10:41 I've just set up a test site for Mambo 4.5.6 at http://m45.mamboguru.net. Apart from Mambo, it has Remository 3.45 and the Remository searchbot 3.40 installed. If you go there and do a site search for "upshall" you will find that an entry from the file repository comes up. This shows that the software works.

You have to bear in mind that the Remository searchbot uses MySQL word search capabilities. These have their own quirks. You will not get any results at all if the number of files in the repository is less than three. Also, all words less than a certain length (default is four) are ignored, and there is a list of stop words (some of which are surprising) that are ignored. You can tune all these factors - see http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/fulltext-fine-tuning.html
