I don't know php to write any test scripts, do you know where I can pick one up?

Incidentally I can get access to file when in IE I type file://///admin/general/karlstest.txt
the //admin server is a different box to which I have the website hosted on but on the same subnet.
firefox doesn't seem to do anything with file protocol.
