Re:Problem wiht Hotlinking on Downloads - 2008/11/10 21:04 If your web server is Apache then a .htaccess file will be effective provided Apache is configured to look for it. If not, it will not work. You may be able to reconfigure Apache to resolve this - try asking your host.

Otherwise, the solution is to locate the files outside the document root, where they cannot be accessed through the web server.
