One of the members on our Chinese Joomla Forum reported a new bug of Remository component: if a user submitted a file with Chinese characters as the filename, then Remository will cut off the extension filename, only left the filename. So, when someone downloaded this file, he can't know what is the extension for the filename and can't open that file.
My suggestion is: add a new option to let Remository detect the filename, limit the filename to ONLY contains alphanumeric characters and hyphen and underscore, or several symbols more. If the filename has other special chracters, like Chinese words, or anything else, then reject that file and remind the submitter to change the filename according to the rule.
