Remote server storage - 2008/10/03 13:14
I've searched the forums all morning but have not really found what I'm looking for. What I'm trying to achieve is to be able to host files on a different server than where the CMS/Remository is located.
I am aware of the two systems Remository is supporting (local files and remote files). This would work if only admins were able to "upload" files; we could simply make them remote files. But the problem is: our (registered) users will be allowed to upload files as well (in fact, that is the primary point of how we want to be using Remository!).
I am now trying to find a way to automate the whole procedure as much as possible. Ideally, of course, users would upload to that remote server directly, but I'm having the feeling (especially after reading some of the forum posts here) that this may be difficult - if not impossible - to achieve?
