Remository

To extend the standard site search to include files in the Remository repository, install AND publish the Remository search bot. Make sure you use the one that corresponds to your version of Remository. There is one for version 3.2x and a different one for Remository 3.4x.

Note that the search bot uses the MySQL word search facility, which is very powerful and fast. But it does have limitations, and if you are finding a problem, please refer to the MySQL documentation for details. In particular, MySQL word search will not work until there are a number of records, so don't attempt a search when you have only one or two files in the repository. Also, in the default MySQL configuration, words of three characters or less are not indexed and will not work in a search. In addition, there is a stop list that contains some obvious and some more surprising words that will not be indexed. The MySQL configuration can be altered, although you might need help from your host to do it.
